Multi-tasking Could Be Wasting Your Time, Especially Entrepreneurs.

Ordinary people think merely of spending time. Great people think of using it. Author Unknown

I received a lot of messages about my Facebook post asking why is multitasking bad when multitasking has been deemed as something successful people do. See some of our reasons multitasking is bad, especially for entrepreneurs:

Increases Stress:

Setting too many goals at one time and multitasking to achieve them does more harm than good. When you work, concentrate on one thing, complete it and only then move on to the next task.

Kills Your Creativity:

You may be able to work on many tasks at one time, but you will really struggle in those which require some serious problem-solving. This is because your brain becomes so habituated to shifting tasks that it no longer is able to concentrate on one thing with full concentration.

Neuroscience/Data:

We are wired to be mono-taskers. One study found that just 2.5% of people are able to multitask effectively. And when the rest of us attempt to do two complex activities simultaneously, it is simply an illusion.
